Earlier this summer 16 Queen’s College students went out to Cambodia with Edukid.org.uk – Education for a Brighter Future.
During their time there they experienced the culture, spent time playing and having fun in 5 different village schools and met many amazing people along the way.
They genuinely made an impact on the communities they visited and were greeted with nothing but smiles and positivity from the Cambodian people.
The students also used money raised prior to the trip to buy food and school uniform for several families in need. They have also supported Peniel (a Cambodian college student) by paying for him to enrol on an internship that will teach him about agricultural farming.
The team are now starting to raise funds to repair the roof of a school which is the central part of one of the most deprived villages they visited.
The students are excited to come back to school and share their stories.
