Exeter Dance Festival

Exeter Dance Festival

Several senior pupils showcased their talents at the annual Exeter Dance Festival during half-term week. Competing against dancers from the Southwest region in various styles such as  ballet, lyrical, modern, contemporary, and musical theatre.

The festival gave the Queen’s pupils is invaluable experience and provided an opportunity for verbal and written feedback from an All England Dance accredited adjudicator, allowing the dancers to refine their technique and performance. This, along with performing on a professional stage beyond their usual Queen’s Hall venue, honed their stagecraft and experience.

Backstage presented a social advantage, offering a space for the dancers to connect with peers who share their passion.

All participants demonstrated dedication and perseverance throughout the preparation, and their love for dance shone on stage. Their tenacious spirit, commitment, and positive attitude, especially for first-time competitors, were a source of immense pride. The beaming smiles after each performance reflected their eagerness to compete again at upcoming festivals in Paignton and Taunton.

Miss Bryony was incredibly impressed with the competitors.
