Queen’s College celebrates outstanding achievements in LAMDA speech examinations, with 37 Distinctions and 13 Merits awarded to pupils in the latest round. Their dedication and hard work have yielded remarkable results, reflecting their commitment to honing performance technique and mastering the art of expression. From poetry recitals to nuanced dramatic portrayals, the pupils showcased exceptional talent, embodying characters from Macbeth to Bruce Bogtrotter with authenticity and skill. The examiners commended their grasp of theory and evident enjoyment in their performances.
Mrs. Sewell, Speech teacher, was delighted by this success and eagerly anticipates the upcoming examinations in October. The launch of the new LAMDA syllabus promises even greater challenges, including classic works by Jane Austen and John Donne, alongside original texts from Marlowe and Shakespeare, demonstrating the ambition and potential of our students, even at the prep school level.
