Recently, Year 12 pupil Petar was invited by the Director of OSSA UK Mila Antonovic to participate in a meeting in the British Parliament named ‘A Backpack Full of Memories: Innovative Teaching and Learning about the Holocaust and Contemporary Antisemitism in Serbia’, after completing his EPQ on the topic of ‘Were The Nazis Adequately Punished For The Crimes Committed in the Holocaust in Yugoslavia During WWII’.
This was an insightful event organised by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance, the Embassy of Serbia and Terra Forming. Petar had the opportunity to meet the IHRA Chair of the UK Lord Eric Pickels, Andrew Percy (MP), Ruth-Anne Lenga from the UCL Centre for Holocaust Education in London, and the Deputy Head of the UK Delegation to the IHRA, as well as many more members of the Parliament.
