The Year 2 pupils enjoyed a memorable trip to the Rural Life Museum this week. The hands-on activities and engaging discussions sparked their creativity and curiosity. The Marvellous Materials workshop and science investigation perfectly aligned with their science curriculum, and the children developed a deeper appreciation for the world around them by exploring different materials and understanding their properties.
During the science investigation, the children learned about the process of felting. They experimented with different techniques to turn raw sheep’s wool into felt, discovering the importance of friction and pressure. The children were amazed to see how their creations became firm and sturdy.
