Miss Cade and the Art Department were delighted to welcome back Old Queenian Ollie Greenslade to a recent Scholars’ Event. Ollie spoke with great enthusiasm about his time at Queen’s and how creativity played a central role in his school life, a passion that continues to shape his career beyond Queen’s.

He shared insights into his business journey, the challenges he has faced, and how his creative mindset has helped him overcome obstacles to build the hugely successful Holwell Farm brand. Ollie’s upcoming Alice in Wonderland project particularly captured attention, reflecting the same imaginative spirit that was nurtured during his time in the Art Block.

He expressed heartfelt gratitude to Miss B, who inspired and encouraged his creative experiments while at school. After his talk, Ollie spent time with current Art Scholars, looking through their sketchbooks and offering thoughtful feedback and encouragement.

It was a pleasure to welcome Ollie back to Queen’s. His visit proved truly inspiring for both staff and pupils, reminding everyone of the lasting influence of creativity and the enduring impact of a Queen’s education.
