Pupils from Years 8 to 11 enjoyed an unforgettable trip to Berlin during half term, exploring the city’s fascinating history and vibrant culture.

On the first day, the group visited some of Berlin’s most iconic landmarks, beginning with the Checkpoint Charlie Museum before continuing to the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag. Lunch at the bustling Potsdamer Platz was followed by a poignant visit to the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, where pupils took time to reflect on the city’s past.

Day two began with a visit to the Berlin Zoo, followed by some shopping and lunch along the famous Kurfürstendamm. In the afternoon, pupils embraced their creative side at the Ikono interactive art experience, before enjoying a traditional German dinner to round off the day.

On the final day, the group took in panoramic views from the Berlin TV Tower, explored life in East Germany at the GDR Museum, and enjoyed a relaxing cruise along the River Spree.
