Queen’s College is celebrating a fantastic sporting achievement as we have been named one of the Top 100 Senior Schools for Cricket in the respected Cricketer Schools Guide 2026. This recognition reflects the strength, depth and ambition of cricket across the whole school community.
A Coaching Team Driving the Game Forward
Our Head of Cricket, Caroline Foster, continues to lead the programme with exceptional skill, focus and energy. Her commitment to developing confident, capable and ambitious young cricketers has transformed the landscape of cricket at Queen’s.
Caroline is supported by two hugely influential figures:
- Arul Suppiah, former professional cricketer, whose specialist coaching continues to motivate our performance players and enhance the standard of cricket across the school.
-
Andrew Venning, whose steady leadership, technical expertise and commitment have shaped the cricket pathway pupils benefit from today.
Together, this team has created a cricket environment that is both nurturing and aspirational, and one that stands out nationally.
A Cricket Programme Where Every Pupil Plays
Cricket at Queen’s thrives on inclusivity. Every pupil has the opportunity to train, improve and take part in competitive fixtures, regardless of their starting point. This approach ensures that cricket is a sport pupils grow to love in a supportive, team focused environment.
Tom Bell, Director of Sport, said “Cricket at Queen’s is for everyone. Whether a pupil picks up a bat for the first time or plays at county level, they are valued, supported and encouraged to take part in real fixtures. This Top 100 recognition celebrates our community spirit as much as our sporting ambition.”
Performance Pathways That Inspire Pupils
Alongside this inclusive foundation, Queen’s continues to build an impressive performance pathway. Pupils who want to push further benefit from specialist coaching, structured development sessions and strong links with county cricket.
Caroline Foster, Head of Cricket added “It is an exciting time to be part of cricket at Queen’s. Our pupils work incredibly hard and show real ambition, and we are committed to giving them the best coaching, support and opportunities to grow. This recognition reflects their dedication and the thriving cricket culture we have built together.”
Exceptional Facilities for Year Round Development
With indoor nets, excellent playing surfaces and year round strength and conditioning support, pupils have the space and opportunity to train consistently and with purpose. These facilities help players build confidence and make rapid progress.
