Queen’s Prep School Years 3 – 6 along with some visitors from other schools, took part in a themed Outdoor Education Discovery Day on Tuesday. The theme was based around the imminent threat of a meteor about to strike Queen’s College.
The pupils were tasked with completing a number of teamwork challenges in order to gain a variety of different rocket parts. Once completed, rockets were constructed and fired at the approaching meteor! The various teams were quick to get down to business, solving problems and working through challenges in their teams with real excitement and enthusiasm despite the morning weather. After lunch the sun came out, and with all the challenges successfully completed, everyone came together to witness the launching of multiple rockets to avert disaster!
