A few weeks ago, Year 13 BTEC Outdoor Education pupils organised and embarked on a three-day expedition to Snowdonia as part of their course. The group enjoyed three incredible days in North Wales, starting with a successful ascent of Snowdon on day one. They were rewarded with stunning views from above the clouds.
Day two brought thunderstorms, prompting the team to quickly adapt their plans. Instead of heading into the high mountains, they spent the day exploring near the Mawddach estuary to avoid the risk of lightning.
On day three, the group returned to the hills around Tryfan. This time, poor visibility posed a new challenge, as they navigated through the clouds with care.
Despite the unpredictable weather, the pupils took every challenge in their stride, learning valuable lessons and having a fantastic time throughout the expedition.
