A group of Queen’s College climbers from Years 8 to 13 spent an unforgettable week in Spain’s Costa Blanca region over the half-term break. Based in a villa overlooking the sea in Calpe, the group explored five different climbing crags, taking advantage of warm weather, pristine rock, and stunning coastal views.
Despite spanning multiple year groups, the climbers formed a close-knit team, offering support through encouragement and attentive belaying. Their progress throughout the week was impressive: some students pushed their climbing grades, while others overcame their fear of heights. Several of the more experienced climbers also completed challenging lead climbs, adding to the sense of achievement.
This trip showcased the skills and resilience of Queen’s young climbers, marking a week of growth, friendship, and adventure.
