Queen’s has once again been recognised as a leader in food education, securing a place in the finals of the prestigious Eat Game Awards 2025. This achievement confirms the school’s position as the top educator in the UK for teaching about game.
Pupils at Queen’s have developed high-level butchery and cookery skills, working with fresh, local, and wild pheasant, duck, venison, and partridge in Food Preparation and Nutrition lessons. Their efforts, alongside the school’s commitment to promoting game as a sustainable and nutritious food source, have earned national recognition for a second year running.
Mr. Mann, Head of the Faculty of Art, Design, and Food, said, “A huge thank you to everyone who voted. We are thrilled to be finalists once again in such a prestigious competition that highlights the incredible culinary achievements of our pupils. It’s an honour to represent Taunton on a national stage.”
A panel of judges will now decide the final winner ahead of a star-studded awards ceremony at Soane Hall in London on 20th March 2025.
