Queen’s College is delighted to welcome an exceptional line up of West End and industry professionals for Wicked in a Day on Monday 23 June.
Inspired by the global phenomenon Wicked, this unique Performing Arts experience will give pupils the opportunity to learn, rehearse and perform alongside artists whose careers span the West End, international tours, film and television.
Throughout the day, pupils will work in mixed age groups, developing their singing, dancing, acting and performance skills through material from Wicked. They will gain first hand insight into the realities of professional performance while learning directly from those who have performed on some of the world’s most prestigious stages.
The day will culminate in a special performance at 6.30pm in front of family and friends, showcasing everything pupils have achieved in just one day.
Meet the Industry Professionals

Millie Gubby OQ
Millie Gubby is a former Queen’s College pupil whose professional career has taken her from the UK to stages across the world. She is currently performing in the Wicked World Tour and previously appeared in the original West End cast of Aspects of Love. Since graduating from professional training, Millie has built an impressive portfolio of theatrical credits, earning recognition for her versatility as a performer. Returning to Queen’s College to share her experience and expertise, Millie offers pupils a valuable insight into life as a professional musical theatre performer and the journey from school productions to international touring.
Rachel Modest
Rachel Modest is an acclaimed singer, songwriter and recording artist who first gained national recognition as a finalist on BBC’s The Voice. Signed to Numen Records, she has continued to build a successful career as a recording and performing artist, releasing original music and performing to audiences across the UK. Rachel’s experience within both the music industry and live performance sector offers pupils a unique perspective on developing a career as a contemporary artist. Her journey demonstrates the importance of creativity, resilience and individuality in the performing arts.
Kirsty Anne Shaw
Kirsty Anne Shaw is an accomplished West End performer whose career includes a featured role in Wicked: The Movie. She was also a member of the original West End casts of both Evita and Sunset Boulevard, two of the most celebrated productions in recent musical theatre history. With extensive experience working alongside leading creatives and performers, Kirsty brings a wealth of industry knowledge and professional insight. Her career reflects the highest standards of performance, making her an inspiring mentor for aspiring young performers.
Imogen Malone
Imogen Malone has enjoyed a successful career across major touring and West End productions. Her credits include the UK Tour of Grease and the original West End cast of Beetlejuice. Known for her dynamic stage presence and versatility, Imogen has performed in a wide variety of musical theatre styles and productions. Her experience working in both long running commercial productions and large scale touring shows provides pupils with a fascinating perspective on the demands and rewards of a professional performing career.

Amy Mules
Amy Mules has worked across stage and screen, most notably appearing in Wicked: The Movie. Alongside her film work, she has toured extensively throughout the UK as part of Mad Hatter’s Circus, showcasing her skills as a performer in a range of theatrical settings. Amy’s experience highlights the diverse opportunities available within the performing arts industry, from film productions to live touring theatre. Her passion and professionalism make her an excellent role model for young performers.
Chris Jones
Chris Jones is an internationally experienced performer and choreographer whose career has taken him around the world. He has appeared in The Donna Summer Musical World Tour and has also worked as choreographer for Collabro’s performance at the Royal Albert Hall. Combining performance expertise with creative leadership, Chris has developed a reputation for creating engaging and impactful choreography. His experience across touring productions, concerts and large scale events gives pupils an invaluable opportunity to learn from a leading creative professional.
What to Expect
Participants will spend the day rehearsing songs, scenes and choreography inspired by Wicked, working alongside professional performers and Queen’s College staff. Everyone will be involved in singing and movement, with opportunities for those who would like to take on solo roles.
Technical theatre pupils will work with Queen’s College’s resident technicians, gaining hands on experience supporting sound and lighting throughout the production process.
The final performance begins at 6.30pm and will showcase the remarkable achievements of pupils and professionals working together in just one day.
