Nursery

The Nursery children have had another busy and engaging week filled with exciting activities.

In Cottontails, the children have been exploring the story Dear Zoo, sparking their curiosity about different animals. They have enjoyed creating vibrant lion faces using tissue paper and learning about various zoo animals through hands-on activities. The children have also been spending more time outdoors, developing their physical skills through active play in the garden and experimenting with different sounds using musical instruments.

Meanwhile, Puddleducks have been embracing Mental Health Week by learning about kindness, self-care, and expressing emotions in a positive way. They have been engaging in thoughtful discussions about feelings and ways to support each other. To reinforce the importance of togetherness, they have also enjoyed a variety of ring games, encouraging teamwork and social interaction.

Minis

What a fantastic week we’ve had exploring the theme of People Who Help Us! The children had a wonderful time engaging in vet role play and learning about different job roles that contribute to our community. A huge thank you to all the visitors who joined us and to the parents who supported this enriching experience. The children loved learning about the important roles our visitors play, asking lots of great questions, and even getting hands-on with some of the equipment.

Throughout the week, we also focused on oral health and fire safety. The children have been so engaged in these topics that we’ve decided to continue exploring them after half term, with more exciting visitors planned!

Our outdoor education session added another exciting dimension, as the children created bird feeders to take home and hang in their gardens—further reinforcing their understanding of caring for animals.
